Section titled “Role Summary”The Assistant Cubmaster for Food (a.k.a. Grubmaster) manages food provisioning for pack campouts and outdoor events — menu planning, grocery purchasing, food inventory, and meal preparation coordination. Good food makes a campout great.

Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- Registration: Registered adult leader of BSA; current with YPT
- Inherits training requirements from the Assistant Cubmaster role
Core Responsibilities
Section titled “Core Responsibilities”- Plan menus for campouts and outdoor events (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks)
- Account for dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferences (gather info before each event)
- Create shopping lists and purchase groceries (coordinate budget with Treasurer)
- Manage food inventory and storage during campouts
- Coordinate cooking assignments among attending adults
- Ensure food safety: proper storage, handling, and cooking temperatures
- Plan for age-appropriate Scout involvement in cooking (Scouts love to help!)
- Manage cleanup and waste disposal after meals
- Submit receipts to Treasurer for reimbursement
