Winter Camping Coordinator
Role Summary
The Winter Camping Coordinator plans the pack’s annual winter camping trip — typically the pack’s biggest overnight event. This involves reserving a cabin or campsite, planning the program, coordinating food and supplies, and ensuring all BSA safety requirements are met.

Core Responsibilities
- Reserve a cabin or campsite well in advance (popular sites book 4–6 months ahead)
- Plan the weekend program in coordination with the Cubmaster
- Coordinate food planning with the Grubmaster
- Ensure at least one BALOO-trained adult is attending
- Arrange transportation logistics if the site is distant
- Communicate event details to families: dates, cost, packing list, logistics
- Collect registration fees through WooCommerce (coordinate with Treasurer)
- Manage headcount and confirm attendance 2 weeks before the event
- Ensure health forms and consent forms are collected for all participants
- Plan for cold-weather safety: appropriate clothing guidance, buddy checks, hypothermia awareness
