Role Summary

The Assistant Cubmaster for Engagement drives event sign-ups and family participation across pack activities. This role focuses on getting families to show up — making events appealing, removing barriers to attendance, and building excitement.

Core Responsibilities

  • Promote upcoming events to pack families through personal outreach, not just emails
  • Track event sign-up rates and follow up with families who haven’t responded
  • Identify barriers to participation (cost, schedule, transportation) and work with leadership to address them
  • Coordinate with den leaders to encourage den-level promotion of pack events
  • Create excitement around events — share previews, photos from past years, Scout testimonials
  • Help plan events that appeal to a wide range of families
  • Report participation trends to the Cubmaster and Committee Chair
