Scouting for Food

Annual BSA food drive. Scouts collect canned goods door-to-door in assigned areas. The pack coordinates area assignments with the district and other packs, arranges food pantry drop-off, and provides bags and door hangers.

Overview

Scouting for Food is a national BSA service initiative where Scouts collect non-perishable food items for local food pantries. The drive spans two weekends: on the first weekend, Scouts distribute bags and door hangers to homes in their assigned area; on the second weekend, they return to collect filled bags. This is one of the pack’s most visible community service events and teaches Scouts the importance of helping those in need.
