Charter Presentation Ceremony
Formal ceremony at the January pack meeting in which the new charter is presented to the pack by the Charter Organization Representative, renewing the pack’s sanction for the new year.
Overview
The charter is the pack’s official authorization from the BSA, granted through the chartering organization. Each year the pack must renew its charter, and the presentation ceremony is a visible reminder to families and leaders that the pack operates under the authority and support of its chartering organization. This ceremony reinforces the partnership between the pack and its sponsor.
